Welcome.

We are so glad you found us.

On a chilly December day back in 2016 my wonderful mum passed away after a short illness.  She was 96.  She didn’t quite get her telegram from the queen for reaching the magic 100 mark - but close!

She lived a long and mainly happy life, surviving the war and bringing up us kids, maintaining her cheeky ‘Snowden’ sense of humour and generally remaining bright eyed and bushy tailed pretty much up to the end.

She had a great number of friends and family of all ages from old work colleagues, neices and nephews, two sons and a daughter plus a multitude of in-laws, grand children and great grand children.  Yes, she lived life to the full.

On a chilly December day back in 2016 my wonderful mum passed away after a short illness. Sadly, she didn’t quite get her telegram from the queen for reaching the magic 100 mark - but at 96 years old she was close!

Yes, she had a full life.

One thing she collected was a huge selection of photographs taken at all stages of her life and when it came to remember her at her wake, I came up with the idea of presenting these fantastic photographs to the attending guests as a memorial video slideshow, displayed on a large screen.

Many more people couldn't attend that day due to distance or for other unavoidable reasons, so by embedding the presentation into a web page everybody could see it. It proved to be a remakable success and touched the hearts of so many people that day and the days, weeks and months that followed.  If you want to see that web page click here.

My mum lived out her last few years in a wonderful warm and loving care home.  Thankfully she remained sharp as a tack almost until she passed away, but she was surrounded by other residents who were suffering from various stages of dementia.  It was heartbreaking to see the sometimes rapid deterioration leading to a severely impaired ability to remember memories from their lives.  It was surprising how effective and rewarding just looking through old photographs could be in re-igniting memories and smiles in those affected residents.
